Anthem Patch 1.0.3 Delivers a Ton of Changes

Anthem got a large patch this morning and it delivers a ton of changes, both large and small, to help right the game’s ship two weeks after the last of its launches. The most notable change in Patch 1.0.3 involves respawn restrictions; that is, there are no longer any respawn restrictions. Instead, respawn timing is based on the activity a player is in. So Crit-Path, Agent Missions and missions other than end-game missions will have a respawn delay of 10 seconds. End-game missions, Strongholds and Legendary Contracts will have a respawn timer of 30 seconds. Freeplay respawning is unchanged.

The update makes general stability improvements for all platforms, fixing issues that were causing crashes or connection problems. These issues were probably most prevalent on the PlayStation 4 where in some cases, Anthem was making the actual console shut down. Fixes have also been made that should address the issues causing audio to randomly drop out.

Beyond these “high level fixes and changes,” update 1.0.3 literally contains hundreds of general fixes and improvements” along with item and Masterwork balance updates, damage and item scaling changes, creature updates and more. Best and Cheapest Anthem Boosting For Sale - Mmocs.com.

Anthem's first month of release has been a long, drawn out nightmare for its publisher. In the span of a month, EA and BioWare have had to address infinite loading screens, bugged weapons, impractical quest design, loot rate issues, various technical flaws, and an element within the game's code that was crashing people's PS4s without warning. For a AAA game that's been created by one of the more well-respected developers in the industry, Anthem has been a significant let down, although it still manages to attract a fair share of players thanks to some of the hidden gems buried underneath its current problems.

Kickassinc’s findings show the difference between the two windows of time and drop rates. Pre-patch, the Anthem player earned 21 Masterwork and 2 Legendary items. Post-patch, they picked up 7 Masterwork and 2 Legendary items, roughly a 66% drop in Masterwork items. And while Epic drops increased from 102 to 163, Epic items after level 30 are disposable due to their weak power and fewer attributes. It’s also important to note that pre-patch uncommon and common items were still dropping for level 30 players but the most recent patched removed them from the loot pool.

Patch 1.0.3 has fixed several issues that could cause the audio to drop out. This includes improved audio when players are defeating a creature. There have also been a variety of updates and fixes for strongholds, creatures, masterwork items, inscription, and general gameplay.
